Peter Okoye, AY and Osita Iheme Returns to Nigeria After Escaping Turkey’s Attempted Coup

Peter Okoye returns to Nigeria alongside AY Makun and Osita Iheme, after they were stuck during  the Turkey coup, when a group of military officers attempted a coup.

Moments ago, Peter Okoye shared a clip of fans nearly mobbing him at the airport. Here’s what he wrote:

“And we are finally back home. Thank u so much Turkey for having us.#Appreciate And shout out to my big brother and fam @setoo9@w2happi@mbiele.happi and the rest of the team you guys were amazing cheers#superFans#OnlyGodCanMakeYouBigger#GettingDown #Antalya#Turkey#InMyOwnWorld #MrP #Star#NothingButLove“

The trio had gone to Turkey to attend the charity match of Cameroonian footballer, Samuel Eto’o, which was set to hold Saturday, July 16. Unfortunately, they were still trapped in the eastern European country when a group of military officers hijacked the airwaves, declaring that they had taken over power; although the Turkey coup was not quite successful.

Not longer after, AY took to Instagram to update concerned fans, adding that they were safe. “Keep praying for us and Turkey,” AY had said.

Now they have returned safely, and Peter Okoye has a video to show for it.
