EbonyLife TV starts its fifth year with a bang – a free TV & film festival

Africa’s champion of high-quality, original content showcases hit movies and season premieres at exclusive 4th anniversary celebration.

Lagos, Nigeria – On June 30, 2017, EbonyLife TV marked its 4th anniversary with a TV & Film Festival, which featured second season debuts of shows like Sons of the Caliphate and On the Real, and screenings of its record-breaking movies, Fifty and The Wedding Party.

It was a well-attended event with fans, lead actors of the shows, as well as celebrities showing up to enjoy the screenings and celebrate with the channel. Some of the well-known faces in attendance were Joke Silva, Omotola Ekeinde, Tiwa Savage, 2Baba, Annie Idibia, Dakore Egbuson, Iretiola Doyle, AY, Don Jazzy, Sola Shobowale and Ego Boyo.

Special moments of the evening were the premiere of the Fifty series, which was met with rave reviews, a ‘lit’ after-party with DJ Neptune and the cake cutting, complete with a colorful shower of confetti.

Since 2013, EbonyLife TV has created over 4,000 hours of quality, original content. The festival was an opportunity to show appreciation to everyone who has been part of the journey and to remind them of the channel’s vision of telling unique and beautiful African stories – made in Nigeria, for the world.
